About this site
Well, this site is about the file formats of games, as you might have guessed. I like to take a look into the files of a game, and I want to tell you what I've found out on this site. You can download tools and their sources, and filespecs for some of the formats - not many till now, I'm a lazy boy ;-).
Most of the tools are written in Pascal (mostly FreePascal, some also compile under Borland Pascal 7), but slowly I'm switching to C/C++ (note that if you're a C programmer, my C/C++ sources might look non-standard, because I'm just "learning" it).
You're welcome to send me your tools, sources, specs and other things related to game file decoding. I will test it and add it to the site as soon as possible, along with your name, of course.
Now for a description of the different sections:
The "game list" is the heart of the site. There you'll find a list of games and companies for which tools/sources/specs etc. are available. Click on the links to get to the game and to read about what's there.
The "In progess" section shows you what I'm currently working on. The tools and specs there are not yet fully functional or require manual editing of the resulting data, or the tools might even crash on your PC, but I might send the sources if requested.
I'm also looking for help with some formats, to see what they are, take a look into the "Help wanted!" section. There you'll find a short list of game formats I'd need some help with.
"Hidden things" is the heart newest section. Here things will be posted you were never meant to see. Just go there and have a look.
(A small note: All dates are in Day-Month-Year format.)
