[Whee! Another update!] [16 Feb 2002]

I finally found a fast server to download the C&C Renegade MP demo from, and here's the first result: Another lame tool (just like the one before for SF, maybe even more 1EE7 :-)
This thingy will extract (sorry, but file extractors are so easy to make...) all the contents of the resource files..bla.bla...you know it.
I opened a new section for Westwood games in the games list, though there's only Renegade in there atm.

[Wow! Even some current news!] [16 Feb 2002]

As I said, this site is not dead, just in a kind of coma right now.
So here's an update with a little lame tool to extract the contents of the resource files used by Star Wars Starfighter. To be found in the LucasArts section.

[Important news] [12 Sep 2001]

The e-mail gamefileformats@exit.de is no more. Send your e-mails to john_doe@techie.com from now on.

[Throne of Darkness] [24 Aug 2001]

Just some little news. I'm currently working on a file extractor for the Throne of Darkness demo.

[Red Faction Tools] [15 Aug 2001]

I wrote a VPP file creator for the Red Faction demo, along with an updated version of the VPP extractor
To be found in the Volition section.

[Rather big update] [12 Aug 2001]

A rather big update today...
I created a tool for Red Faction that extracts the VPP resource files, added a document describing the SOD file format used in Star Trek: Armada written by Steve Williams, the games' Storm3D engine lead programmer.
I also added three tools made by Deniz Oezmen: a file extractor for The 7th Guest, one for The 11th Hour (both in the Trilobyte section), and a file decompressor for Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (under Interplay).
Then some more words: The EMI Resource Viewer project is dead. But don't fear, savior is near. I'm planning a new project that will support all bundle formats used in LucasArts games, e.g. all Bun and Lab formats, with the most support put on the files from Escape from Monkey Island and Grim Fandango. Another center will be the partially support of Smush animations and probably Plug-Ins...but I'm telling too much...time will tell.
So, have a good day!

[Attention please] [12 Jul 2001]

The domain www.gamefileformats.com will expire on July, 31st since Namezero wants me to pay now. I don't have the money, so the new address will be gamefileformats.virtualave.net.

[Strange....] [9 Jul 2001]

Somehow my host (VirtualAvenue) won't let me upload things using FTP any more...so for now, I'll use the browser upload facility (which sucks, but is better than nothing) to upload stuff.
And here I ask you for help: If you know of a free webspace provider (10-15MB space is enough) and CGI support, I'd be glad if you told me about it. Thanks!

[Sad] [4 Jul 2001]

It's really sad Serge left the SCUMM hacking community...I hope he'll return someday!
As SCUMM Revisited is dead (at least for Serge), he decided to release the Delphi source code. You can get it from LucasHacks!
Also, the In Progress section has been updated.

[Some news...] [2 Jun 2001]

Still, this site is not dead. Just sorf of lifeless.
Actually, I had not much time because of school etc. When school's out forever (for me, at least, hehe) there'll some more action going on (I hope).
Today I added a really lame tool that extracts all the tiles from Yoda Stories. It's really stupid, so be prepared. To be found in the LucasArts section.
